Nominations are now closed for positions on the 2024–2025 Chapter Board of Directors.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors makes decisions regarding the chapter’s programs, financial health, community involvement, and priorities. Board members are expected to commit 10 to 15 hours each month to SMPS, primarily for committee meetings, monthly Board meetings, and chapter programs. Positions currently accepting nominations for the 2024–2025 SMPS Central PA Board include:
- PRESIDENT-ELECT: To be eligible for election as President-Elect, the individual must have served on the Board of Directors for one year or served as a committee chair for one year.
- SECRETARY: This is a two-year commitment. To be eligible for this position, a member must have served on a Chapter committee for one year.
- DIRECTOR-AT-LARGE: To be eligible for election as a director, an individual must be a Regular or Distinguished Life member of the Society and must have been such a member for one year as of the date his or her term of office commences. No individual may hold more than one Directorship at any time.

Nomination Process
The Nominations and Elections Committee consists of the current President-Elect, Christina McCullough, joined by President, Kristen Troxell, and four other members with 1+ years of experience who represent the diversity and leadership of our chapter. The election of the new Board will be held in June 2024.
- Self-nominations are invited and encouraged
- Submit completed nomination forms to Christina McCullough, President-Elect, and Nominations and Elections Committee Chair, at [email protected]
- Nominations must be submitted by Friday, April 14, 2024
- Successful candidates will be notified upon determination, and the slate will be presented for chapter vote in June 2023
- All new Board member terms for the 2023-2024 program year will begin September 1, 2023.
