March topic: "Brain Savvy Leadership by the Numbers," from SMPS Max Build Business 2019 presented by Jeff Hurt
It turns out, the strategies we’re putting in place to increase our productivity are hurting our creative performance. Our work culture idolizes creativity but worships productivity. These two contradictory ideologies are now colliding. And we’re caught in the middle. There’s actually a better way. Neuroscience and cognitive psychology point to our unique ability to think about our thinking. The brain, our three-pound, tofu textured body part shaped like a crinkly walnut, profoundly affects how well we do or don’t lead. Leaders who excel in today’s market constantly seek to add new insights to their leadership toolbox. Brain savvy leaders know they can drive their brain and improve their performance. During his MAX® presentation at Build Business 2019, Jeff Hurt shared five insights to help take charge of the brain and develop brain savvy leadership.
