When you think of marketing, you more than likely think of marketing to your external clients. How can you persuade more people to buy the services you sell? But another "market" is just as important: your employees, the very people who can make the brand come alive for your clients. Yet, many of our firms invest very little effort in internal branding. As marketers, we can play a critical role in this!
The same applies to internal communication, which often falls to HR or the executive team in many organizations. Unfortunately, these people typically don't have the marketing skills to communicate in a way that engages employees. Information is doled out in the form of company memos and policy documents, and it is not designed to help employees make a powerful emotional connection to the company or its brand. The marketing department can play a bigger role in the internal communications by applying many of the same principles used to sell the brand externally. This is especially relevant now, with so many employees working remotely.
Join us for this roundtable discussion where marketing and communication experts from SMPS Central PA member firms will offer some best practices for internal brand building, communications, and employee engagement. By sharing real-world examples of programs and tactics they've developed at their firms; these experts will explain how they've applied the principles of marketing and communication to guide employees to a better understanding of, and even passion for, their firm's brand. Attendees are encouraged to come to this program with questions for the panelists to address.
