SPEAKERS CONFIRMED!! Higher Learning Paradigm Shift & the Effects on Capital Projects

April 18, 2018
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Universities and colleges around the country are facing a myriad of diverse challenges as they look toward the future.  Changes in traditional enrollment and student demographics, learning and teaching pedagogies, and affordability ripple through the higher education landscape and affect each institution differently.  As schools react and plan for the future, how does this shifting paradigm affect the planning, design and construction of the built campus environment?

Join the Central Pennsylvania and Maryland Chapters of SMPS as we explore if/what future construction is being planned and what institutions may be looking for in teaming partners to execute work.

Confirmed panelists include representatives from:

  • Goucher College
  • Penn State University
  • Gettysburg College
  • University of Maryland, Baltimore County

There will also be time before and after the panel discussion to network and find your next teaming partners.

Learning objectives include:

  • Identify upcoming design and construction projects
  • Identify long-term planning and future “hot spot”
  • Gain some insight into their procurement process
  • Find your next teaming partner
