Meet & Eat: Can Conferences Solve your Marketing Problems?

March 15, 2018
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Kinsley Education Center
350 Hill Street
York, PA 17403

Conferences and trades shows are a tried and true marketing tactic. Most firms understand the investment they are making in attending these events, but not all firms maximize the event for current and future marketing endeavors. Premiums and give-aways are a great start, and sending pre, during and post emails also work, but are they effective? What if you could build your marketing plan to easily incorporate conferences and trade shows while simultaneously creating your event marketing plan? What if you could see the flow of prospects who attended the conference coming to your website? How do you get beyond “Visit us at Booth #345 and Win an Amazon Echo”? What would it look like if your team at the booth knew what to say to visitors when they came by? This session will feature a brief presentation covering these topics and more followed by Q&A to dive into specific issues and collaboratively develop solutions.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Effectively use conferences and trade shows in their corporate marketing plan

  • Create a pre, during, and post event plan to maximize ROI

  • Use engaging and unique promotions to drive traffic to your booth, your presentation, and your website
  • Coach technical staff and project managers to have effective conversations

 About the Speaker

Carrie Ann Williams, CPSM
Andana Consulting

As principal of the award-winning firm, Andana Consulting, Carrie Ann Williams, CPSM works with organizations to guide proposal development and create amazing marketing content.

Every day, she brings her 17 years of experience to each client as they track, pursue, position, and propose on local, state and federal government solicitations – and private organizations too.  When not leading proposal strategy, she guides firms through developing their marketing game
plan – starting with a define your brand workshop, moving through research and analysis, resulting in clear marketing goals and an implementation plan of tactics to reach them.

While doing the work is wonderful, she also leads training workshops and gives presentations about marketing and business development for professional services firms. Her speaking has taken her across the country with companies and organizations including SAME, SMPS, AIA,
and NVSBE.

And, when not working at Andana, she and her husband are busy at their home – Willow Spring Farm - restoring the pre-civil war log cabin and the 37-acre farm in Maryland.

She is active with Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the Society for Marketing Professional Services, Urban Land Institute, and the American Institute of Architects. In 2010, she received the Young Member Award from SAME Baltimore Post. In 2011, she received the Young Member Award from SAME Baltimore and the RVP medal in 2014. A Certified Professional Services Marketer, Carrie has an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a Masters of Business Administration.
