Registration Coordinator

Mildly OCD? We need you!

Do you love attending our SMPS Central PA events but can’t always go due to cost? Well, we have a way for you to attend every event at no cost. The SMPS Central PA Board of Directors is looking for someone organized to serve as our event Registration Coordinator. This vital role allows you to attend every event and helps us ensure that our registration process runs smoothly. In return for your volunteering, we will provide you with free registration to every event.

Manning our registration table is easy, fun, and a great way to network and meet new people. It isn’t a major time commitment, either. Plus, you’ll help SMPS Central PA provide a great first impression to our event attendees. Tasks include:

  • Keep track of online registration.
  • Run a registrant list and crosscheck the names to our preprinted, saved badges and print any new badges needed.
  • Put the badges into badge holders and coordinate the badge ribbons for Board members, committee chairs, speakers, etc.
  • Download the attendee list into a spreadsheet for onsite tracking of attendance and any onsite payments.
  • Set up the registration table – display upcoming event flyers and SMPS literature, the basket to recycle badges after the event, and the CEU form for SMPS CPSM members.
  • Remind the SMPS President to request badges be returned to the registration table after the event.
  • Check off attendees on the onsite spreadsheet and take any payments.
  • After the event, forward the spreadsheet and any payments to the Treasurer (Amy Meadows), and send the CEU form to Jen Smyers.
  • If possible, attend Board and/or Programs Committee meetings to be aware of upcoming events.

Training in our SMPS StarChapter online registration system will be provided.
